History

Transport and Logistics activities in Africa hold an important place in the Bolloré Group, for historical as well as economical reasons. Our story began in Senegal, more than 80 years ago. Here are the main steps lining its path.

  • 1927 – SCAC/SOCOPAO activities start up in Senegal
  • 1986 – Takeover of SCAC/SOCOPAO from Suez
  • 1991 – Takeover of DELMAS by Bolloré group
  • 1993 – DELMAS and SOCOPAO merging of Africa forwarding activities into SDV
  • 1997 – Takeover of SAGA by Bolloré group
  • 1999 – Complete integration of TRANSINTRA and AMI into Bolloré group
  • 2000 – Takeover of the shipowner OTAL and its road network ANTRAK
  • 2006 – Sale of DELMAS and OTAL to CMA-CGM
  • 2008 – Everyone joins forces under the same banner, Bolloré Africa Logistics
