    Situated in the Northwest extremity of Africa and counting more than 3 400 km of coast between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, Morocco represent a surface of more than 700 000 sqm. Its relations with sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Europe make one of the major actors of the Maghreb today.

    With three quarters of the world reserves of phosphates, Morocco has a strong development of the chemical sector. The tertiary sector also occupies a dominating place in the economy, followed by the branch of industry. The agricultural, famous production for its citrus fruits and its vegetables, places the country in the 11th world rank.
